this may be a stretch... but i would say this is genetic engineering. obviously, there really isn't any sort of big merits by combining these species... haha, oh well.

the biggest lie.

this is something i did for my friend jeremy. it took forever to get that face right... i had to re-do quite a bit of it... but i'm happy it turned out alright. i originally hand drew it, but the porportions were looking off, so i decided to try out directly in photoshop. made it a lot easier. well, if you don't know, it's Elliott Smith, one of the greatest singer/songwriters ever. not even joking.

paint

painted two things today/last night. fyi - i'm horrible at taking pictures, so it looks a little weird. but man... i haven't touched a paintbrush in months. i can never get around to it because i usually never have paints, and or anything to paint on. i borrowed my gf's paints and i found a piece of cardboard box and an empty milk carton, so i just thought i might as well try something different. i'll prolly just give the cardboard box to some homeless dude or something.

millions of sunsets

this is my submission for the theme "song lyrics" in the Minneapolis Community Blog. it is the song "Jogging Gorgeous Summer" by Islands. it was originally going to be a song by Manitoba, but i felt the Islands lyrics fit it better: "Millions of sunsets but the one i remember, the where you told me you'd love me forever." it took me longer than i thought, and it didn't turn out quite how i would have liked it. the rabbit head people i thought turned out neat, but i kind of rushed everything else. eh, whatever... next week's entry will be on a smaller scale.

a winter frolic

this is just something i finished up a couple days ago. i did the outlines in illustrator, and i colored the rest with a wacom tablet. i was originally going to submit this for the illustration friday theme, "wind", but i missed the deadline. oh well!
